
In the early 1980's, California Pacific, now a division of Coastal Pacific, began procuring and distributing the full spectrum of products required to operate the first full service vendor-operated commissary deli and bakery at Clark Air Force Base, Philippines. In June of 1993, we assumed the role in its entirety contractually for the 18 Commissary Stores in the Far East. We have maintained this segment of business ever since through awarded re-bids. We have incorporated new and progressive industry trends such as "Hot Food Programs" and "Grab-N-Go" to maximize patron satisfaction and to keep DeCA consistent with the CONUS commercial supermarkets.
In September of 2007, Coastal Pacific launched its first sushi program at Andersen AFB Commissary. Since then, seven additional sushi bars have been introduced at Orote, Kadena, Foster, Yongsan, Osan, Yokota and Misawa. Not only can patrons choose among over 60 varieties, they can place special orders with our on-site sushi staff.
The primary focus of our 16 Far East and Guam Deli's and Bakeries is to offer Quality, Value and Service to the brave men and women and their families of our armed forces. Our trained staff pay close attention to food safety and sanitation when producing deli products (to include rotisserie chickens and ribs), baked goods, and holiday and party items.
